I have always believed that great businesses should do more than generate revenue—they should create opportunities, strengthen communities, and leave behind a legacy that outlives the people who built them. That belief is the foundation of everything I do.

As Founder and CEO of The J. Francis Group, I have the privilege of leading one of the nation's fastest-growing Black-owned consulting firms. Every day, I partner with business owners, nonprofit leaders, corporations, and public sector organizations to transform vision into execution. Our mission is simple: we grow businesses that grow communities. We don't believe in delivering reports that collect dust on a shelf. We build strategies that are implemented, measured, and sustained—creating meaningful, lasting results.

My professional journey has allowed me to serve and lead within some of the world's most recognized organizations, including AT&T, Xfinity, DTE Energy, Netflix, and Google. Across more than two decades of leadership, I have specialized in customer experience, organizational strategy, operational excellence, leadership development, and business transformation. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to lead organizations with as many as 27 direct leaders and more than 425 indirect team members, developing high-performing cultures where accountability, innovation, and exceptional service become the standard—not the exception.

Long before launching The J. Francis Group, I built my first business in real estate and property management. Entrepreneurship taught me lessons no textbook ever could. It gave me firsthand experience navigating uncertainty, building systems, earning trust, and creating sustainable growth. Those experiences continue to shape how I serve every client today. I understand the challenges because I've lived them, and I believe the best consultants are practitioners first.

Today, our work extends well beyond Detroit. From Michigan to Washington, D.C., Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and communities across the country, my team and I help organizations strengthen leadership, improve operations, elevate customer experience, develop stronger brands, and execute strategies that position them for long-term success. Every engagement is built around one principle: helping our clients achieve measurable results while creating a greater return on their investment.

Service has always been as important to me as business. I currently serve on the Detroit Land Bank Authority Board of Directors, where I work alongside dedicated leaders committed to strengthening neighborhoods and expanding pathways to homeownership throughout Detroit. I also serve as Vice President of the Historic Boston-Edison Association, one of America's premier historic communities, and as Editor-in-Chief of The Herald, where I help preserve and tell the stories of one of Detroit's most treasured communities. Whether serving on nonprofit boards, supporting civic initiatives, or working alongside faith-based organizations, I believe leadership carries a responsibility to leave every community stronger than we found it.

I am also Co-Founder and Partner of The Glenn-Story Group, where we help candidates, elected officials, and public leaders build movements, communicate with authenticity, develop winning strategies, and lead with purpose. Politics, at its best, is about improving people's lives, and I believe thoughtful leadership and clear communication remain two of the most powerful tools to accomplish that mission.

Above every title, I am a man of faith, a husband, a father, and a lifelong student of leadership. I believe success is measured not only by the organizations we build, but by the lives we influence, the opportunities we create, and the character we demonstrate along the way.

As I continue building The J. Francis Group into one of the country's premier consulting firms, my focus remains unchanged: to help organizations reach their highest potential, develop leaders who transform cultures, strengthen communities through strategic partnerships, and build a legacy of excellence that will serve generations to come.

At the end of the day, I don't aspire simply to build successful companies. I aspire to build institutions, develop leaders, and create lasting impact—because the greatest return on investment has always been people.
